The Ontario 55+ Games

The 2018 Ontario 55+ Summer Games held in Mississauga take place August 10-12, 2018.

The Ontario 55+ Games is a celebration of active living hosted every year (alternating between Winter and Summer) for individuals in Ontario who are 55 years of age or older.

Mississauga And The Games

The 2018 Ontario 55+ Summer Games are coming to Mississauga for the first time. Participants will “Stay and Play” in Mississauga with all competitions being held in Mississauga.

The Games Ontario Program is operated under the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, as part of its efforts to support amateur sport, physical activity and community development in the province. The 55+ Games are delivered in partnership with OSGA 55+.

Celebration Events

Opening Ceremonies

The Opening Ceremonies will take place in Mississauga on August 10, 2018.
Location: Celebration Square

Pre Ceremony: 6:15 PM
Will include Try it Sports and Buskers onsite

Official Ceremony: 7:00 PM
Emcee: Jake Dheer
Speakers include Paul Henderson and Hazel McCallion
Entertainment: the Dreamboats

Middle Night
Middle Night Entertainment will occur on August 11, 2018.
Location: Port Credit Memorial Park
Time: 5:00 PM (for Games Participants and Volunteers only)

    This is the best event in the province for seniors. You get to make many new friends, play and enjoy sports you like, have fun. But most of all is to develop a better ,healthy and enjoyable style of living
